Once all great programmers get a job they like they don't switch, even if you have the money to pay them more. They like what they are working on. If a great programmer is working on the next Google, and you pay them more to work on something boring, they won't switch. The limit is the total number of great programmers. |

And we won't be until the rewards for being a great programmer exceed the rewards for other options.
