The whole point of this paper is that these 'illusions' look like noise to humans and make no sense in relation to real-life objects, and you're hand-waving it away as if it was some insignificant, tangential technicality. - I'm willing to bet that in late 70s many people also thought that rule-based systems could lead to real AI if they were "more complex" and had more computing power available. |
