You'll have to wait a number of years, but the killer app for 1gbps is virtual reality with the data mostly stored in the cloud. It's going to require extraordinarily fast broadband to reach its potential. The things people think of today for home broadband uses (video, gaming), will be considered a joke in ten years when it comes to using bandwidth. |
