Up to this day, while libpulse0 is required by some package, I have no pulsed running. Everything is using alsa directly, and I'm using jack for audio work. The impact of pulseaudio is way lower than systemd, and never actually impacted anyone producing music that have no reason to use use a pulseaudio sink. Notably, the audio layer is (in)famous to be able to route anything through anything. Contrast to systemd, where sysadmins actually have now limited choice to many parts of the system (not only init!). |
