In fairness, the comparison table pitting Eclipse against XCode should have included Android Studio, which (besides not being Eclipse) also includes a visual UI editor.

Only just heard of this. See it's still in beta, but will definitely give it a go!

Its the de-facto standard for android development these days. And its very stable in my experience.
