I am one of the main devs behind MongooseIM, a fork of ejabberd - massively scalable XMPP server in Erlang. My most important contributions are XEP-0198: Stream Management support and BOSH, i.e. XMPP over HTTP. I've integrated the server with AMQP brokers and other 3rd party HTTP/REST services.
