> DARPA grants is that they are haphazardly doled out for some real stupid projects. I think this is what a lot of people outside academia don't realize. DARPA brings up connotations of inventing Arpanet, but the reality (like VC investing) is that a lot of silly research is funded by DARPA grants. |
