There's an unstated tradeoff relevant to this piece: "accidental complexity" versus verbosity. The Go community seems to have come firmly down on the "typing more simple code is better", but that's not a choice that everyone's going to agree with. As a human-language equivalent, compare a jargon-laden sentence to the equivalent paragraph in Basic English. The sentence requires prior understanding of more things, but the paragraph may take a LOT of words to say anything. |
