Mother Jones did a story on this a while ago, and I was under the impression that if you had a drill press it would be enough to get an 80% receiver usable. Either way, I'm glad Defense Distributed is moving the ball forward on this issue. Edit to add:
This company makes plastic ones that a drill, chisel, and Dremel are enough to finish, no CNC machine necessary.
