Really great read. One interesting point:

"What I’ve found, counter-intuitively, is that apps that embrace JavaScript actually end up having less JavaScript."

The example given is the Boston Globe with over a half megabyte of JavaScript for essentially textual content. I think this is a great example of why people are still using NoScript in 2014.
