I used to program in PHP, with NetBeans at first, and switching to PhpStorm was an incredible relief. Perhaps things have improved since then, but I remember NetBeans to be awfully buggy, eg. it could make it look as if files were saved whereas, uhm, they weren't, because of which once it got close to being banned in the company that I worked at.
