Although you don't get the high res screen, there are incremental improvements in the base $79 model. More storage, faster processor, touch screen... If I were betting, I'd bet that the high res screen component isn't yet available in large enough quantities and/or cheaply enough to make it feasible to use in the low-end model. That will no doubt change. |
