How to build better/quality software faster?

I been writing codes for years now and a few days ago I saw a video about building 30-Story in 15 days(http://goo.gl/vLFI7X), this got me thinking that the way we are building softwares is old and a new way should be available for fast, customisable, and scalable software building.

Let's talk about web. For example using Bootstrap, and AngularJS for front end, and Django for backend speedup the process but even that is slow.

What do you think? How do you speed up your process and what kind of tools are you using? are we going to see something in the near future that would change how we would build software?
