I recommend Dune2000, it has a similar feel to Dune2 and a much more modern interface.

Sadly neither one is available on Steam or GoG. Both can be found on abandon-ware sites.

Thanks (yesterday I found dune2 for android (not on GooglePlay though) and it works fine :)
