Depends what's the Beta of PE/VC vs the S&P 500 / FTSE 100. And blindly tracking major indexs means you are highly invested in a smallish number of stocks in the same area in this example investing in the big indexes means you will have take all the losses with the bank crashes - instead of a share/fund that got out or banks when it looked to toppy. |
