You're listening to your gut! I'd say that's a pretty good start. Most people ignore what their gut is saying while they make the "comfortable" safe choice. I would try to shift your mindset. Nothing is permanent, nothing is forever, and there is no perfect situation. Try to view life as a series of choices. Right now you're choosing stability and that's fine. When your financial situation improves, you'll be able to make another choice. Plus there is always bootstrapping on the side :) Learn what you can out of your new situation and try to view it in the most positive light. It's not your ideal situation, but ask yourself "What can I learn from this experience?" and it will be easier to digest. A stable company has the potential to teach you about leadership, the structure of successful companies, how strategy scales beyond 3 people in a room, and you also have the potential to form friendships and relationships along the way. |
