Isn't this more of the very same smarmy navel gazing bullshit OP has taken up arms against? There are plenty of designers doing meaningful work in various fields. The big red flag in this article is the implicit bullshit! Who said design is for social change? Political disruption? What if design is just making these buttons look good so 10 year olds can Snapchat more better? Whos to decide whats a real world problem and whats not? Jeez, its gotten to the point where I balk when introducing myself as a designer. |
