Ask HN: Anyone tried open-sourcing Business Development?

I built a site for my friend called ReferTutor (http://www.refertutor.com). He is a full-time teacher and part-time tutor himself but can't seem to find time in between his work and family commitments to build the business. So that got me curious. Has anyone successfully put the Website out there and let whoever can build the business side share revenues if they successfully build the business side? Rather than taking chances and wasting time hoping for a business co-founder who can finally make the sales side work, perhaps open-sourcing a business partner might work? |
