Actually, just to clarify some sloppy reporting in the Crain's piece, Gov. Snyder (@onetoughnerd) is requesting 50,000 immigrant visas, aka green cards. Big difference from non-immigrant visas. The specific visa requested is the EB-2, which basically requires a Masters or PhD as the credential needed to establish exceptional ability in a specific field. |
