Experimenting with a simulation is a great time saver as far as it goes, however, all models are just models, subject to the assumptions that went into them. There is a great deal we do not know about cellular biology. Any simulation would be a fairly gross approximation. The point of many experiments is to further our understanding of the model of cellular mechanics. |
