I wasn't sure about the jurisdiction so I was focusing on VA based attorneys but it wouldn't hurt to speak with an NC based one as well, thank you.

http://upcounsel.com works well. You describe your legal request and they will route you to lawyers who have experience with these sorts of things. Good luck!
