If the Russians are developing this chip for their infrastuccture and mission critical aspects, FORTRAN 77 and 90 support makes sense. Finite Element Analysis software (CATIA, SolidWorks and the like...) are Fortran or its ilk..

Same goes for HPC.

It probably just means they ported gcc, but if it is supposed to mean more its probably just 'HPC is on our radar'
