Not really, at least not in my country (UK). It's entirely possible to survive without working. It's also entirely possible to choose to go to college for several years rather than work - the decision to go to work at that point can be as as much an active (and optional) choice as going to college. No one is forcing you to do one or the other, or neither, at that point. And even if you do have to work, you can choose to do the bare minimum to get by, or you can make the personal choice to push yourself. |
