Germany has a very similar problem. By law, the ISPs are only allowed to store user-identifiable information for billing purposes. When you have a flat rate (and nearly everybody has), there's no reason whatsoever to store any IPs, and yet they are stored for at least two weeks. I wish somebody would do something about that. |
