In Genesis 2:18 God says He will make Adam an ezer kenegdo (Hebrew). In the context of subduing the earth (Gen 1:28) ezer kenegdo means "strategic ally". An equal to man in every way, ordained with the power to give life. Without the woman, human life could not exist. The woman was God's final creation. One could convincingly argue He saved the best for last. |
