If math is relevant for a CS program mainly as a problem solving training, I really think calculus should be dropped. Logic provides the same problem solving training, and content is actually relevant. The article is not arguing "math is too much". It is arguing "if math is for problem solving, why not choose math with some relevant math content instead"? |
