wait, so the only way to use this product is if someone else using this product sends you bitcoins first? Does that mean the entire system is a 0-sum-bitcoin system, with a fixed number of bitcoins in circulation?

I'm not sure that I understand the question, but I'll clarify:

This is built on the one-and-only Bitcoin blockchain network. This is not it's own independent blockchain.

You can send to your QuickCoin wallet from any other Bitcoin wallet.
