Doesn't libre require access to source code? According to the free software definition [1], it's one of the essential freedoms: >The freedom to study how the program works, and change it so it does your computing as you wish. Access to compilable code can happen in more ways than fully libre release though.
I think that is what the parent post to yours meant.
