for the most part, recent asian immigrants have an extremely flawed and incomplete view of american society and how it actually works. this manifests in all sorts of weird ideas about 'americans' (i.e. white people) and half-baked poorly-executed ideas about what it really takes to get ahead in this country. example: college admissions. source: my parents and their friends for the past 3 decades. |
