I recently moved from Christchurch, New Zealand to Melbourne Australia. Christchurch has a population of about 350,000 and the only form of public transport is busses (which I have almost never needed to take). Melbourne has a population of about 4,500,000 with trams, busses and trains. On week days my commute involves a half hour train ride and a 5 minute bus trip either way. While most people are glued to their phones, I purposely avoid using mine as much as possible. I just try to be as friendly as possible. |
