Love the idea, but they're a tad expensive. I would think a fair price would be a strip of several images for 8€, not just one. Also, even if I accepted the single sticker price, do I only get exactly one sticker? If I mess up the application, well that's a pretty expensive mess up. I'll leave the economics up to you, but I would think about making 'sets' of say 4 images (video games, lifestyle, err... animals, planets, etc.), Sell them for the 8€ each and make it clear there's a backup copy of each in the package. Yes, that is literally is 8 times as many stickers for the same price, but I can't imagine the marginal cost is that much greater for you, and I think you'd get a lot more sales to make up for it. Here's my real world thought process which may be helpful or atypical: I was torn between a couple images, so I added both to my cart, then thought about a backup in case I messed up and when I was done, the price was 32€ before I knew it. For a couple of stickers, I thought?? (I got literal 'sticker shock'! Get it? Hahaha hehehehe snort, ahem. Sorry.) So I decided I didn't want them that much and closed the window. I understand your thoughts about pricing and I know that I may not be the cheapest macbook sticker producer on the planet ;)
Here is a little background of why the stickers may seem a little bit expensive: I only produce small batches and do most of the work by myself. I did the designs of the stickers, made the website and wrote a shop system in the last couple of months. While writing this, I print out some stamps and put some stickers in packages to bring them to the post office tomorrow morning (I'm not kidding, I'm really doing this right now :))
The problem of messing up a sticker is a good point and not that easy to solve. It sometimes happens and if it happens, people write me an email and I send back one or two stickers for free. Maybe I could mention this on the website so that you can be sure, that you don't need backup stickers.
Stickersets is a good idea too, but I could imagine to offer the second sticker for half the price or something like this.
Bye the way. This is one reason why I open sourced all the stickers that I sell. I want to offer the freedom to produce them by your own if you may not like the pricing or the designs that I made. You can change them or just copy them and produce them as you like. Also, I hope to change the mind about pricing, after going the extra mile of producing them by your own ;)
