Blacklists are general a very effective method in handling spam, but its kind of dangerous to use in a commercial setting. A few weeks ago SpamCop blocked gmail for a few days, causing some "mild" issues for companies that depend on email. There is sadly not much options. Either I can accept more spam, or use blacklist and put the control of the filtering in the hands of a third-party with none of the responsibility attached. |
