CO is about the same density as air, but it will rise with warm air. Placing CO detectors on the ceiling is allowed by the NFPA. Nest protect costs $130 and yes you're expected to replace it after 7 years. It's actually a legal requirement to replace CO detectors after 7 years in many jurisdictions. |
