Let me begin with a question for you: What do you want a first time visitor to absolutely see/do when they get on the site? In other words, what is that one thing that if the user sees/does, they will get how your startup benefits them & want to engage with you further? The reason I'm asking is because the home page seems unfocused to me.
This is your prime real estate & your one and only chance to grab attention.
Because there's so much going on, I'm not sure what I should do - and specifically, what I should do first, that will get me to the "aha" moment of your offering. Once you identify that one thing that new users coming to the site absolutely must do/see - everything on the home page should be focussed towards drawing attention to that thing (or the path to that thing). Everything else is irrelevant (at this point) because if they are not wowed - and quickly - no matter what else you think is cool that they should see/click on - they are just not going to do that and will have already moved on. Hope that helps. |
