Github has supported SVN access since April 1, 2010: https://github.com/blog/626-announcing-svn-support and write via svn since May 4, 2010: https://github.com/blog/644-subversion-write-support
I'm not sure whether to trust that first announcement...
You don't have to trust it, you can go to any gh repository and get the address to the svn access in the sidebar:
