(I'm in this bundle) I think it adds a bit of noise to the signal for sure, so I'm not sure if it's better, but without the weekly sale I'm not sure we would have gotten them to accept this bundle idea in the first place.

As for myself, participating in a bundle is something I only like doing after the game has been on sale for a pretty long time (as I did here).
