Imagine if you will a US that is not imperialist; a foreign policy that is one of isolationism. Now imagine Russia as it exists today; expansionist and oligarchical. With no one strong enough to oppose it, how would anyone stop it from pulling off political coups or military invasions on flimsy pretexts? Or vice versa? |
