I'm not super familiar with daily fantasy (variance is obviously going to be huge) - but for NHL data check out extraskater.com - think he uses nhl event feeds. Features have been rolling out this year and it's easy to see tons of team strategy and playing time matchup data from all the situational datasets available - not updated exactly in real time but certain pieces of the site are I think.
