in this thread, a lot of rationalizing going on, trying to avoid the basic truth that IT/programming is for the most part well-paid wage slavery, and working at a desk/cubicle 40 hours a week, 50 weeks a year, year after year, decade after decade is an unnatural condition, akin to a form of torture. |
