Results of Pingdom's "Website Speed Test" on the URL: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/2YiTc/http://www.theatlantic.co... 1.1 MB of that is JavaScript! And while it reports 3.69s load time, the waterfall shows that it actually took much longer than that. For example, a 497 byte resource on realtime.services.disqus.com (heh, "realtime") took just over 10 seconds! I'm glad I use Ghostery. |
