My understanding is that the kickstarter was for development kits, so, a significant portion of the backers were developers. Isn't this investment by A16Z the most incredible reward possible for these developers who've put time and energy learning the platform and technology? At the very least, Oculus is going to be a major player in this field, if not the major player for the next couple years, so the opportunities for their products, and skills, just took a big leap today. |
