I disagree. Without news, I wouldn't be able to determine which organizations are legit and good for humanity. Armed with that knowledge, I join the appropriate orgs (i.e. EFF), donate money, and send nasty-grams to the proper senator/congressperson when needed. The caveat is that it's necessary to know which news is garbage and which is meaningful. Clue: meaningful news is not typically popular. |
