You can't install on some consumer hardware without voiding the warranty. The quality of the hardware you get subsidized from AT&T doesn't change the openness of Android. If you had a board and wanted to start porting android to it today everything you need to make it happen is there and out with permissive licensing too. What more to do you want out of a software project? |
