This has very little to do with logging in with Chromium. Picasa was the first service to integrate with G+, they then allowed high resolution picture hosting and the like. This also has nothing to do with "maximizing profits" (at least not directly) it has more to do with phasing out Picasa web albums for G+ photos. And if I remember correctly the new terms prompt does specifically mention G+ integration, and it has a 'dont accept' option. |
