AOL used to do some cool open-source stuff back in the 2000s. At the time, a lot of their tech was based on AOLServer which was an web server they acquired in the 90s and open-sourced. AOLServer is also tightly coupled with Tcl and AOL used to contribute to Tcl development as well. Alas, I doubt anyone involved in open-sourcing anything is still there. |
