What? Noooooo. I don't upgrade the doors until I'm well into looking for luxury upgrades after my core build. Shields are another luxury as well. Definitely favour a teleporter or a good weapon, followed by weapon systems (just enough to use all your weapons except for your missiles) and engines. Always go engines before shields! Intruders and fires are basically a non-factor once you learn to use the pause button promptly and often. |
