Yes, as a build target: http://unity3d.com/unity/multiplatform

The IDE does not run on linux, just mac and windows.

Mono has a good cross-platform GUI library? IDE is mostly very rich GUI I guess.

Monodevelop was primarily developed on Linux, so this is bit ironic indeed.

May be it is because 3D/2D modeling aspects of the IDE, not really because of Coding aspects.

I have had some mild luck getting it to run under wine, but it does randomly not work, so not a great experience there. I'd love it if they'd port the IDE.
