I always saw it as satire, as I'm on&from the eastern side of the Atlantic the references to facism was unavoidable. The thing is that it's stopped being satire after 9/11. Just replace "bugs" with "islamists" and it becomes depressingly prophetic. I end up thinking of Pat Tillman every time I see the mobile infantry. |
