The "open" part of this is being blown up a bit out of proportion, I think. Nothing stops other OEMs from replacing the Play apps (the closed part of this) with their own. Are you an developer at an OEM? I'm just not sure why this would worry you. It sure beats not getting timely updates for core pieces because of silly carriers. |
