"Samsung has not 'dethroned' Apple in profits"

"...someone pointed out that Kovach was comparing Apple's after tax net income to Samsung Electronics pre-tax operational income..."

typical mistake...

?

I'm using net income, Samsung has 9.6 operating profit. Why are you showing an article from last quarter?

Operating Profit = Also known as "earnings before interest and tax" (EBIT) or "operating income"

OOOOPPS!! :)

What does that have to do with net income lol.
Wow do I have to explain it to you?

Samsung reports operating profit = Also known as "earnings BEFORE interest and tax" (EBIT) or "operating income"

Apple reports net income = AFTER TAX net income
